Rock River Resources has announced plans to develop a state-of-the-art crude processing plant and storage and logistics rail terminaling facility in Green River, Utah, with a capital investment of over $230 million, which has the goal of providing a long-term viable refining option in the region.

  • This project is an investment in the future of Utah – putting people and technology to work to meet the future energy needs of the state and the region.
  • Rock River Resources has worked with state and federal agencies to design one of the cleanest refineries in the United States and to ensure that it meets all federal, state and local standards.
  • The first phase of the project is planned to break ground in mid 2014 and will be operational in early 2nd quarter 2015. It is expected to employ approximately 300 workers at peak construction. Once all phases of the project are complete up to 125 permanent jobs will have been created.
